Modular Open Source Identity Platform

MOSIP is an open-source, modular platform for building foundational (national-scale) identity systems. Governments use it to register residents, issue digital IDs, and de-duplicate and authenticate identities without being locked into one vendor’s closed architecture. Its architecture separates the platform into pluggable modules (registration, ID repository, authentication, biometric matching, and others), each governed by its own published interface specification that any vendor’s product can implement.

For each module, MOSIP publishes an interface specification and validates implementations against it with its own Compliance Toolkit (CTK), a suite of predefined automated test cases, before listing a product as certified on the MOSIP partner marketplace.

Innovatrics ABIS is listed as a MOSIP-compliant ABIS on the MOSIP partner marketplace, supporting both cloud and on-premises deployment since June 2026.

Innovatrics ABIS passed the MOSIP Compliance Toolkit’s ABIS test suite, which validates 1:N biometric de-duplication over the specification’s asynchronous, message-queue interface (Insert, Identify, Delete, Ping, Pending Jobs, Reference Count).
