Serving as a gateway to the Suez Canal, the African nation of Djibouti (pop. 923k) lies upon one of the world’s busiest shipping routes. Innovatrics recently delivered an AFIS system to be used in a multi-biometric ID documents platform by the Djiboutian Ministry of Interior. The system is part of an initiative to modernize the production and issuance of ID documents.

Innovatrics deployed its Automatic Fingerprint Identification System (AFIS) and integrated it with our partner’s user management system. The system allows Djiboutians to obtain secure biometric passports. 500k citizens have already been registered in the AFIS and the system is fully scalable to meet the future needs of the country.
