Innovatrics Achieves Top Results in Latest NIST PFT III Evaluation
Innovatrics has once again proven its leadership in fingerprint matching technology with a new submission to the NIST ...
Read moreInnovatrics reaffirms its position among the leading global biometric technology providers, with an outstanding performance in the latest NIST FRTE 1:N benchmark submission (Face Recognition Technology Evaluation).
For this particular submission, our results stood out in the MUGSHOT:WEBCAM category, relevant when low-quality webcam images must be accurately matched against mugshots, and in the VISA:BORDER scenario, highlighting Innovatrics continuous commitment to safe and efficient border control.
Comparison of False Negative Identification Rates (FNIR) at Rank 1, measured by NIST FRTE 1:N (Jul 17, 2025) for selected ABIS vendors and their most accurate submissions. Results shown from NIST do not constitute an endorsement of any particular system, product, service, or company by the U.S. Government.
The FRTE 1:N benchmark, managed by the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), assesses the accuracy of one-to-many facial identification systems. It simulates high-volume, real-world use cases such as seamless border processing and law enforcement database searches, where accuracy and efficiency are non-negotiable.
It is crucial for agencies and organizations that rely on automated facial recognition at scale, particularly in scenarios like border control, law enforcement (e.g. suspect identification from mugshots or CCTV stills), and large-scale civil identity programs.
In addition to the NIST FRTE 1:N benchmark, our position as a global leader in biometric technology can also be reinforced by our results in the NIST ELFT and NIST IREX 10 benchmarks.
Matus Kapusta, Head of ABIS Business Unit at Innovatrics, commented:
“NIST’s FRTE 1:N is one of the most rigorous benchmarks for facial identification, and we welcome that level of scrutiny. We want the performance of our algorithms to speak for us, and to demonstrate to our partners that Innovatrics biometric technology can be trusted in high-volume, critical environments.”
