Innovatrics has integrated its identity verification technology into Vouchsafe, a UK platform used by financial services teams for regulated onboarding. The deployment supports document capture, face verification, and liveness detection inside Vouchsafe flows.
Vouchsafe focuses on cases where applicants cannot complete an ID or fail route. The company points to estimates of around one billion people worldwide without photo ID, including 11 million in the UK.
Vouchsafe wanted a white-label setup since many end users do not want to move between provider screens. Innovatrics components run behind Vouchsafe’s interface, keeping the journey in one place. The integration also covered the migration from the previous build with no downtime for clients.

Early versions of the product used AWS Rekognition for biometric features. As usage grew, Vouchsafe faced recurring work tied to face matching, capture quality, and device diversity. The team looked for a managed biometric solution that reduces ongoing tuning.
With Innovatrics identity verification technology, biometric checks run as part of a single flow. Documents are captured consistently, and faces are verified without extra steps for the user. Vouchsafe now completes more than 99% of document scans without incident. Remaining issues are tied mainly to very old or low-quality documents. Support requests around capture have dropped.
The platform continues to support biometric vouching for people without ID and has added support for digital identity wallets worldwide, including in the EU.
