NIST FRTE 1:N benchmark measures the accuracy and speed of one-to-many face recognition identification algorithms searching enrolled galleries containing at least 10 million identities. It is the continuation of the former FRVT tests.
Innovatrics reaffirms its position among the leading global biometric technology providers, with an outstanding performance in the latest NIST FRTE 1:N benchmark submission.
For this particular submission, our results stood out in the MUGSHOT:WEBCAM category, relevant when low-quality webcam images must be accurately matched against mugshots, and in the VISA:BORDER scenario, highlighting Innovatrics continuous commitment to safe and efficient border control.
The latest benchmarks from the NIST prove continuous improvements for the Innovatrics facial recognition algorithm. Its latest iteration has just broken into the global top 10 in the border control scenario, where a photo is compared to a portrait from a visa application.
This is the ranking among over 150 different face recognition vendors. Innovatrics is concentrating on having a robust, flexible algorithm and the latest benchmark results prove it. While the border control shows the best results, the other scenarios are not that far off, ranking 8th to 20th. “Our strong suit is having an algorithm that performs equally well across all the important use cases,” says the Head of ABIS business unit in Innovatrics, Matus Kapusta.
Out of the companies that provide complex identification solutions known as ABIS (Automated Biometric Identification System), Innovatrics is number three in the top 10 facial recognition algorithms, the other two being much larger companies NEC and Idemia.
