Java QA Engineer

Job description

  • Development of internal QA tools for testing of distributed system on JAVA platform
  • Design and development of new functional/performance tests, maintenance of existing test suite, administration of CI tools, development of internal QA processes
  • Responsibility for development of existing product and its new functionalities in the area of biometrics
  • Solving of daily operations issues, analysis and reporting of problems
  • Communication with internal R&D teams

Candidate requirements

  • University education in the IT area
  • Experience with JAVA programming at least 3 years (Java SE, JEE)
  • We expect a complex output when bug reporting – root cause, not just symptoms, candidate must be able to analyze independently and tune the JAVA code, design repairs
  • Experience with distributed systems (multithreading, paralelism, client / server)
  • Experience with testing frameworks (Junit, Mockito)
  • Orientation in technologies and trends in JAVA area
  • Experience with development in OS Linux environment
  • Knowledge of Git or similar SCM tool (Mercurial, SVN, etc.)
  • SQL or at least one RDMBS knowledge (ideally Oracle or PostgreSQL)
  • Ability to use scripting languages for automatization of routine tasks, parsing of logs etc. is a plus
  • Experience with CI tools (Jenkins) is a plus
  • Experience with Maven, ActiveMQ, AMQP, JGroups is a plus
  • Knowledge of testing in the cloud environment is a plus
