Innovatrics releases IDKit PRO, web services based fingerprint SDK for client-server applications.
Following the success of IDKit due to its performance and ease-of-use, Innovatrics has implemented IDKit PRO. IDKit PRO two main differences are:
- Client-Server architecture based on web services protocol,
- ODBC connector to external databases.
In summary, IDKit PRO offers:
- possibility to connect to either a flat file database (sqlite) or to any database with ODBC support (MSSQL, MySQL,...)
- templates contained within the database are automatically synchronized with the memory, what speeds up the identification (templates don't need to be loaded from the database at each identification)
- possibility to store images in the database
- templates are organized in "user structures". Each user structure may contain multiple prints from multiple fingers (even multiple prints from the same finger). Identification and matching functions automatically combine scores from all templates contained within user structure.
Furthermore, IDKit PRO contains a standalone matching server, running either as a standalone application or as windows service. Multiple clients can connect to the same matching server and share the same database. Matching server is based on web service protocol and may also be deployed as a part of a web server, such as IIS, Apache,... Matching server enables for example to build client/server architecture with many enrollment stations and one main matching server.
The IDKit PRO is provided as a software package containing:
- Install and Unistall Wizards,
- Documentation in .pdf to enable printing and in .chm to enable browsing,
- Samples with source code,
- 1 Server license (with 5000 user records) and 3 clients, for development purposes.
